The Lonely Planet guidebook recently awarded Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World-Heritage site, the number one place to visit in the world, calling it a “spiritual epiphany in stone”.
Whatever you call it, a visit to Angkor is nothing short of unforgettable. Not only will you explore the iconic temple complex, you’ll experience the incredible local life around Siem Reap and Tonlé Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia.
And that's only the start. Grab your camera and get ready to shoot some exciting stuff...
We believe each photo adventure should be flexible and adapt to the needs of the students. Since there is a 1-4 instructor/student ratio, you’ll get plenty of individual attention from us.
Teaching will take place in the field in an organic fashion, and encompass a range of elements that all good travel photographers need from landscape to portraiture, to street and architecture. There will also be free time in the evenings if you’d like a portfolio review or want tips on how to improve your photo editing skills.
In other words, Cambodia will be your classroom.
If you prefer to be left alone that’s fine too. Our goal is to create a memorable experience built on flexibility, community, discussion, and the freedom to learn and photograph what you like. And of course come home with a compelling travel portfolio you’re proud of!
Oftentimes, it's the simple things that can make travel tiresome: waiting in lines for entrance tickets, deciding how to get from place to place, haggling with taxi or tuk-tuk drivers, or even finding a good place to eat or stay.
It can be a hassle to make so many decisions.
We want to make this trip as stress free as possible for you. That's why we made it all-inculsive. To start, we chose a relaxing place to stay just outside of all the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap. It's a 4-Star boutique hotel called Navutu Dreams Resort & Wellness Retreat.
It's the kind of place you'll be happy to come back to at the end of the day. And trust us, you'll be happy to come back to a refreshing pool after a day of temple exploration.

What's NOT Included:
"It will be an epic lifetime experience..."
"Two amazing photographers, Pete and Chris, in an awesome location. I highly recommend this to all of my friends, family, and anyone else that has a camera. It will be an epic (and I don't throw that word around for fun) lifetime experience."
"Exceptional photographers with patience and expertise necessary..."
"I've been lucky enough to go through some of the temples with Chris, and he knows the nooks and crannies that most others don't. It's been his backyard for the past few years now. Both Chris and Pete are exceptional photographers with the patience and expertise necessary in communicating with those with specific photographic needs - this I know from personal experience. If you can get here for this, it's highly recommended. This tour will be worth every dollar."
"One of the most amazing and photogenic places in Asia..."
If you have ever wanted to do a tour of Cambodia, one of the most amazing and photogenic places in Asia, with a couple of excellent photographers with a passion for travel photography - I could recommend no one more generous, caring and professional."
"Would love to go on this tour..."
"Would love to go on this tour. Chris and Pete are two amazing photographers and this is one amazing location."
"A great introduction to Angkor with two talented photographers..."
"Pete DeMarco, a buddy of mine and a talented landscape photographer is teaming up with Chris Cusick (who lives in Siem Reap) to lead his first workshop. The price is outstanding and I bet it won't be that cheap next time they run this. If you've never been to Angkor Wat this would be a great introduction into this area with two talented photographers."
It doesn't matter what level of photographer you are. Even if you've just bought your first camera, we are ready to help you learn how to use it. And if you're more experienced, you'll still find plenty of opportunities to practice and hone your skills.
On a physical level, the tour is not very demanding. We won't be hiking any mountains or making any long treks. We will however be walking quite a bit. There will be some breaks in between, but you'll need to be OK with spending a bit of time on your feet.
Also, if you prefer to bring a friend or spouse they are welcome to join the tour too. Let us know if you have any questions.
National Geographic photographer Jim Richardson once said,"If you want to be a better photographer, stand in front of more interesting stuff.” So friend, we're looking forward to standing with you at the mystical temples of Angkor.
P.S.: Space is limited to 8 participants. Reserve your spot while you can!
